Attention Students: Rubber band wristbands will no longer be allowed in school or on the playground. Please leave them at home. They have become too big of a distraction and a mess.
Homework Help: Due to the increasing number of students attending homework help, I ask parents, students, and teachers to be mindful of the program and its intentions. Students please call home for a ride if you complete your homework early or if you do not have homework that night.
This year’s homecoming theme is “Holidays.”
Teachers: Please take the time after the parade to test drive a vehicle from the Chrysler Center. Groton Area School District can earn up to $6,000.
Sweet G’s Inflatables and OST Pretzel fundraiser will be held at 2:00 Friday in the high school gym.

Students: Please remember to respect all technology and property of the school. Please remember if you purposely try to destroy or wreck the computers in the lab you will be responsible for their repair or replacement.
There are flyers available for Blue Goose Day at the Sand Lake National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday, October 3, 2015.
Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirt forms will be handed out today. Orders are due by Wednesday. Please turn forms in to either the high school or elementary office.
YMCA Kindergarten Basketball, Girls 1st-6th grade Basketball, and CO-ED Floor Hockey 1st-4th grade registration forms are located in office entranceway.
Groton Area Punt, Pass, and Kick Competition Sponsored by the Groton Lions Club will be held on Friday, September 25, at 2:30 on the football field. Forms are available here at the school.
Kiss the Pig contest – all proceeds FCCLA makes, will go towards new playground equipment at the baseball complex. Please find a jar and pick your “favorite” person to kiss the pig. All students will join together in the gym on Friday at 10:30 to see who our lucky winner is!
Temporary tattoos and eye blacks during lunch. FCCLA members will have a table set up Monday through Thursday of this week.
At 12:30 on Friday students will enter the backdoor of the Golden Living Center to “parade” through the facility. Busses will be waiting outside the front door to ship students to the starting area of the parade.
Lunch Schedule for Friday:
KG, 1st, and 2nd will eat from 11:00-11:25 and have recess from 11:20-11:45
3rd, 4th and 5th will eat from 11:25-11:50 and have recess from 11:45-:12:05
A reminder to all teachers and staff that you will need to plan accordingly so we have lunch and recess supervision covered.
Attention Teachers, Students, and Parents: There was a mistake in the red letter that was sent home yesterday. OST is not an option after the homecoming parade next week. OST will be closed on September 25, after the parade. Sorry for the confusion and inconvenient.
Attention Teachers: Due to our shorthanded custodial staff, Tommy will be bring around cleaning “wipes” for your disposal. We ask that you have the students take the time to clean the tops of their desks when time is available. Thank you for your support and help.
